Ahh, another fitness challenge done…a lifetime more to go.

I admit, in the past years, I’ve signed up for bodybuilding.com challenges only to lose motivation and give up, or sometimes not even starting the challenge after signing up! I found myself in familiar territory in this challenge. While spending long days and nights packing up our home and moving, I stopped training and eating healthy. Of course, this was due to circumstances out of my control but the thought of quitting midway through popped in my head.  Once we got settled in, I was itching to workout again so I jumped back in and completed strong.

I have trained for quite a few fitness competitions so I knew I could stick to a plan but it was the at-home fitness challenges with no reward, no trophy, no glitz or glam, that left me uninspired…until now.  After completing a 90 day challenge postpartum last year and the #250kchallenge earlier this year, I knew I had it in me to see ANY fitness challenge through to the end. I didn’t need a trophy or a blinged out bikini, my reward was my improved fitness ability, positive mindset and health. With that said, I still want to compete again! I go back and forth between bikini or even fitness (I know, totally different looks, training, etc)…but that is another post.

Here is a pic of what I looked like midway through the challenge after the big move (I looked worse midway through vs the before pic):

Please excuse the post-workout hair

Here is what I looked like after completing the challenge:

Moral of the story is, if you start something but fall off track, do NOT give up. Just start again where you’re at and follow through. I used to be notorious for falling off track and telling myself, “I’ll start again on Monday.” There will always be bumps in the road, it’s how you recover that makes you a winner.
