10 Things I love about Me. When I read the title of this post, I have feelings of guilt. Perhaps that stems from being beat down from life at various times. When I read the title again, it feels like a bit of a lie. I see the weight gain on the scale and in the mirror. I pick out little things I wish were different. When I read it a 3rd time, I am reminded of how precious this life is. I get one body, one chance to enjoy my time on Earth and life is too damn short to worry about those things I wish were different.
So in the spirit of gratitude week (Thanksgiving here in the USA), I would like to share 10 things honestly I love about me.
- My crazy curly hair.
- My drive! When I have an action plan, I carry it out.
- Though I can’t see shit out of them (high myopia), I love my dark brown eyes.
- My resilient brown skin. My skin provokes hate/judgement in some strangers. So I LOVE on it, I am grateful for it and I take great care of it with luxurious products.
- My full lips. I got teased about them as a kid but loving how popular full lips are now.
- My dimples. 🙂
- I appreciate that I’m an introvert. My quietness may come off as aloofness but I’m such an observer and find inspiration wherever I am.
- I love that I’m half Korean and 1/2 Black! Though I’ve been shamed for my ethnicity in the past (I could write about this another day), I am unapologetically biracial.
- I love that I love to learn! I have 2 Bachelor of Science degrees, yoga certifications, barre certifications, group fitness certifications and I want more! I’m SO NERDY that I CELEBRATED when GA passed a law that nurses had to earn CEUs when renewing nursing licenses.
- I love that I’m a mom. With great power comes great responsibility, and there’s no greater responsibility than being a parent.
Now, can you list 10 things you love about you? Of course you can! Embrace everything you are and enjoy yourself, guilt free.
I thought this would be a good task for first thing in the morning, but amazed at how difficult it is to ‘sing my own praises’, but lets have a go anyway 🙂

2. never say die attitude
3. my level of fitness for my age
4. being a loving parent with two great kids
